A Few Shinedown Tracks DHA Listeners Love

Yesterday was Brent Smith’s birthday!  The charismatic and energetic frontman of Shinedown has such a tremendous set of pipes………..it’s so fun to watch and listen to him belt out the tunes.

For the question of the day (First Call Last Call) I asked for some of your Shinedown favorites to rock the ride home. Let’s take a look at a few of the songs many DHA listeners chose.

  • 1. "Diamond Eyes”

    Written for the action flick “The Expendables” and also released on the Deluxe Edition of “The Sound of Madness”, this song is a monster!  If you’ve ever seen Shinedown live, you know how intense the crowd gets when they tear into this one.  Boom–lay, boom-lay BOOM!!!

  • 2. “Cut The Cord”

    The album “Threat To Survival” has a lot of great moments.  This opening track is a brilliant start to the record.  In a Facebook post, Brent Smith described “Cut the Cord” as “the statement to the world that you will not give up, you will not give in, and you refuse to fail.” This one will get you moving!

  • 3. “Get Up”

    Slowing things down a bit, DHA listeners seem to love this track which is featured on “Attention Attention.”  Such a motivational song, Brent Smith wrote the lyrics as he was helping his fellow bandmate battle depression.  This song showcases the resilience we have inside to get through those rough times.

  • 4. “Fly From The Inside”

    Of course, there are a lot of Day One Shinedown fans who chose their debut single.  And I have to agree that this is just a rockin’ track that talks about pursuing your dreams and going after something regardless of others saying you won’t succeed.  Another motivational song with an infectious hook.  Shinedown definitely has a talent for that!
