The other week, STAIND released their first studio effort in 12 years! It’s been quite the wait. But was it worth it. Let’s take a closer look at their new Album “Confessions Of The Fallen” and see if it’s worth you money.
STAIND is a band that has left a mark on the rock music landscape, captivating audiences with their unique blend of emotion, raw power, and introspection. What makes STAIND truly great is their ability to channel profound, authentic emotions into their music, creating a deeply relatable and cathartic experience for listeners.

Fronted by the talented Aaron Lewis, the band’s lyrics often delve into themes of pain, addiction, and personal struggle. Lewis’s raw, soulful vocals lay bare his own experiences, allowing fans to connect on a visceral level. STAIND’s music serves as a therapeutic outlet for those grappling with their own demons, offering solace and understanding in a world that often feels indifferent.

Moreover, the band’s musicianship is exceptional. Guitarist Mike Mushok’s heavy riffs and melodic solos provide the perfect backdrop to Lewis’s lyrical prowess, creating a sound that’s both heavy and melodic. The rhythm section, consisting of Johnny April and Sal Giancarelli, adds a solid foundation that drives their music’s emotional intensity.

STAIND’s live performances are equally memorable, as they pour their hearts into every show, forging a deep bond with their audience. Their authenticity and willingness to address difficult topics resonate with fans, forging a sense of community that transcends mere music.

STAIND’s greatness lies in their ability to turn pain into art, offering solace and connection to countless fans through their powerful music and emotionally charged performances. They stand as a testament to the enduring impact of music that speaks to the human experience.

And their latest album is proof of exactly what they’re capable of. And that is extraordinary song-writing and raw , powerful hooks that find their way, burrowing into your ear, so that they’re stuck with you for hours after listening. Heavy, catchy, melodic, emotional – it’s all wrapped up into one on their latest album and it’s definitely worth picking up!

Let’s take a look at some standout tracks!

  • LOWEST IN ME

This is the first taste we got from the album. And it’s got a great heavy riff from Msuhok and a standout hook from Aaron Lewis. Plus that middle section with the screams really amp you up!

  • IN THIS CONDITION

The vocals of Lewis kick this one off and it’s got one of those calls for help in the chorus.  Searching for hope and looking for something positive.  Like many of us are.

  • CYCLE OF HURTING

A heavy banging riff kicks this one off and leads to introspective lyrics from Lewis.  A big hook, that everyone can sing to.  It’s pretty epic for STAIND fans!

  • BETTER DAYS

A Ballad that still rocks.  Again, another one about hope and staying positive.  It’s really a beautiful tune.

  • HATE ME TOO

A classic Mushok riff that’s heavy and rockin’ with a dark tone to it.  Then the song picks up and Aaron Lewis sings about hating himself, which I think we’ve all felt like at some point in our lives.  But Hopefully come out of that feeling for the better.
