Terrie Carr here and Morris County has some fantastic places to grab a quick, yummy Nom Nom! – Here is a delicious dozen- My quick bite list of some of my favorite sandwich shops and more!

  • Millburn Deli- Morris St- Morristown

    Open since 1946 the Millburn Deli has ,multiple locations and are know for their unique sandwiches.
    Their chicken cutlets are legendary, vegetarian sandwiches can change a meat eaters mind and you can build your own sandwich with their incredible deli, breads and dressings (It’s All About the Meat, It Ain’t Easy Being Cheesy, Dress for Success, just some of their menu items) their menu is delicious and fun with sandwiches like Down The Shore and Wrappers Delight) and don’t forget a salad! YOWZA!

  • Longfellow's - Speedwell Ave- Morristown

    They start with breakfast and go all day, Longfellow’s is a Morris county institution.
    Giving “overstuffed” a new name, Longfellow’s  Chili is legendary and the Longfellow’s subs are traditional, huge and never disappoint.

    They are perfect for catering too with incredible party platters big and small.

    Family owned and operated, it’s a taste of Jersey!

  • The Bagelry- Hanover Avenue - Cedar Knolls

    We are super lucky at DHA to be in walking distance to The Bagelry and we take advantage of their proximity and amazing food. Not just bagels (although I LOVE their multigrain with walnut cream cheese soooo much) , The Bagelry has amazing sandwiches and puts together perfect platters for every taste.

    My fave? The eggplant, roasted pepper, mozzarella and pesto on their crusty bread. So good!

    Abe and Anthony never disappoint!

  • Grilled Cheese At The Melt Factory- Morris Street- Morristown

    Melt, Melt Baby! Grilled Cheese done soooo right, The Melt Factory has a menu that is not only super delicious but super unique with Grilled Cheese with meat (Pulled Pork, Reubens  and other carnivorous choices) Veggies, Mac and Rib, Chicken and Eggplant Parm……the grilled cheese menu is amazing! Dine in, takeout or delivery, this place rocks!

  • Sheimers Deli- Rt. 10- Denville

    Amazing breakfasts, fantastic lunches with sandwiches,  and burgers on the menu, AND they do dinner, don’t let the small house on route 10 fool you- Lots of room for HOME cooking!  Pull off route 10 and enjoy!

    Sheimer’s caters for the holidays too.

  • The Great Wazu- Rt. 46- Parsippany

    With over 80 sandwiches on the menu, The Great Wazu has “sandwich specialists” on hand and has been a North Jersey institution since 1980,  Sandwiches, Subs, Panini’s , killer Sloppy Joe’s, wraps, roll-ups and  hot yummies, The GREAT Wazu IS named appropriately!

  • Don's Sandwich Shop- Main St- Boonton

    Serving Boonton their sandwiches’s for over 30 years, Don’s has the most incredible Tuna Melts in the state!

    With 55 sandwich varieties to choose from, Don’s is a way of life for Boonton residents and their sandwiches are HUGE and prices really good!

    Their sandwiches are easy to follow in their numbered menu and their bread is the bomb! And yes, Don owns the shop.

    And the residents of Boonton love him and Don’s!

  • Missy's Main Street Cafe- Main St- Rockaway

    On the quick bite list- Missy’s starts with a fantastic breakfast menu that features everything amazing and move through the day with brunch and lunch, Missy’s unique menu is OFF THE CHARTS!

    There is an incredible Hometown feel here with a super staff and customers who are a part of the Cafe,

    Missy’s is a gem in the community. Their specials will knock your socks off and there outdoor space is pet friendly even serving doggie ice cream.

  • Verilli's Bakery- 3 Martin Luther King Blvd- Morristown

    Another GEM down the road from WDHA Verilli’s is so much more than a bakery.  A morristown tradition since 1898 (YES- 1898) Verilli’s is known for their incredible baked goods, pizza crusts, sandwiches and more. (Their Chicken Francaise and pasta is heaven on earth) and take home pre-made foods are what food dreams are made of.

    Not only a 10 out of 5 stars for food! But a beacon of hope in the community always giving back to those who need it.

    Fundraisers locally and nationally, helping local sports teams, children in need hurricane victims, their give back is inspiring.

    The BEST!

     

  • Sweet Vinyl Cafe- Diamond Spring Road- Denville

    Grab a cupcake, scone, coffee or pink hot chocolate AND a vinyl shopping spree, I have had Sweet Vinyl on my “cool” list before, but this time it’s for their delicious delectables. North Jersey’s ONLY Cafe and Record store, a visit to Sweet Vinyl (with their awesome, hip staff attending to your every need) combines my two passions…..Music and eating yummy bites! Their “notes” menu is not only so decadent and delicious but locally sourced from some o Denville’s best!

  • Bangiola's Deli- rt. 202- Morris Plains

    Sandwiches, salads and open for Breakfast at 6a, Bangiola’s is tucked away, serving fantastic food- Bangiola’s ia a must visit!

    Known for their great selection, amazing pastrami and roast beef combinations and fantastic breakfast sandwiches (and friendly staff) make sure you stop by when you are in Morris Plains for a but of sandwich heaven.

  • Macho Nacho - Speedwell Ave- Morristown

    I had to include a great Mexican quick bite and we are all fans of Macho Nacho! Their weekday specials and breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are incredible. Stop by on Taco Tuesday and check out their homemade guac, sauces and traditional favorites- Don’t miss the hard chicken Tacos!
