TC’s Top Five 90’s Movie Soundtracks That ROCKED!

I love the 90’s and the movie soundtracks were awesome. Classic Rock, Metal, Alternative…..so many genres and flavors!
Below are five soundtracks that I LOVE from the decade that gave us some awesome tunes!

  • Singles- 1992

    My favorite soundtrack from the 1990’s hands down, (and one of my favorite movies) it featured Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, members of Pearl Jam, Paul Westerberg of the Replacements, Screaming Trees and more and absolutely captured the Seattle scene and the fictitious band “Citizen Dick” led by Matt Dillon’s character Cliff Poncier was AWESOME!

  • Cruel Intentions- 1999

    I LOVE this soundtrack although most of the music is more on the Alternative rock side than the heavier side, it is a PERFECT  end of the decade with Placebo, Marcy Playground, The Verve, Blur and more punctuating the dark, campy nature of the film. The Counting Crowes song “Colorblind” is especially beautiful and a track not many know.

  • Last Action Hero- 1993

    Queensryche, Anthrax, Megadeth, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Fishbone…this soundtrack ROCKS!

    It features “Big Gun”one of the most underrated AC/DC songs of all time.

  • The Crow- 1994

    With an Alt /Metal soundtrack that was as dark as the movie featuring Rage Against The Machine, NIN, Helmet, Pantera and most notable STP’s epic “Big Empty” , there is something that is sad, yet inspiring when you listen to this 90’s magical soundtrack.

  • Wayne's World- 1992

    This soundtrack featuring many classic rock faves from Queen, Alice Cooper, Sabbath and Hendrix also features Soundgarden , Cinderella and The Red Hot Chili Peppers and went double platinum in 1997
