Aerosmith has canceled their farewell tour. So, I thought we could take a look at the Top 5 Live Aerosmith songs Jersey Wanted to hear. The band was set to come by towards the end of the year. And boy there were a ton of songs I for one wanted to see them perform one last time!
I thought I’d get my info directly from the best listeners in all of New Jersey…..WDHA listeners. I do a weekday feature on my show called First Call Last Call. It’s a themed set of music that starts at 5 pm. The theme is based on the question of the day which I post to the DHA Facebook page at around 4 o’clock. Yesterday I asked listeners what Aerosmith songs they most would have liked to hear live. The responses were awesome and pretty much were from all over the various “eras” of Aerosmith’s career.
Steven Tyler and the boys have put out some truly outstanding music through the years. They are by far one of the best American bands to ever release music or perform on stage. It’s kind of a shame they didn’t get to go out with a farewell tour. Whether you’re looking for hard rockers, power ballads, or just fun little tunes with catchy melodies, Aerosmith has something for everyone.
They went through their hardships like a lot of bands, maybe more than some actually. But each time they “got things together” they would come back even stronger! Whether you’re into the early stuff like the Get Your Wings or ROCKS albums or you like the poppier sound they had on Pump or even Nine Lives, they really proved that they could do it all. There was emotion in the lyrics and vocals, great guitar riffs and solos, and just plain solid drumming. What a band!
