#2. Van Halen – Girl Gone Bad                                                                                                                                        Requested Through – Facebook – Request Line Scotty B wdha                                                                                 Requested by – The El – Cappytan Bobby Bonzo Rockturnaling and Working in Hasbrouck, Heights , NJ  2

The Cap takes the two spot again! He has been in the Top 5 5 nights in a row and this week his themed request called Van Halen Deep cuts that Rock is keeping him on the list . His VH deep cut  tonight was “Girl Gone Bad” which is my fav! While Van Halen’s most popular hits like “Jump” ” I’ll Wait,” and “Panama” often take center stage, the album 1984 holds a hidden gem that deserves recognition and appreciation. “Girl Gone Bad” is a deep cut that encapsulates the raw intensity and musical brilliance that Van Halen brought to the world. Eddie Van Halen’s guitar riff on “Girl Gone Bad”, is filled with intricate hammer-ons and pull-offs,  that creates an infectious energy while Alex Van Halen’s drumming serves as the heartbeat of the song, driving the rhythm with precision and power. Michael Anthony’s basslines add depth and groove, and providing a solid foundation for the other musicians to build upon. The synergy between the band members is palpable, and their collective talent shines through in every note. great Job Bonzo!! You are setting a record on being on the Top 5 ! Salute!

#1. Soundgarden – Mailman                                                                                                                                             Requested Through – Email request Line – [email protected]                                                                         Requested by Commander Kyle M in Hillsborogh , NJ                                                                                            1

Commander Kyle M tops the list with his tribute request for the late great Chris Cornell. Released in 1994 as part of the Superunknown album, “Mailman” encapsulates the brooding intensity and sonic brilliance that characterized Soundgarden’s music. The song delves deep into the band’s signature sound, blending heavy riffs, intricate instrumentation, and Chris Cornell’s haunting vocals. It explores themes of isolation, obsession, and societal disconnection, creating a captivating sonic landscape that lingers in the mind long after the song ends. On May 18th, 2017, the music world was struck with a devastating loss. Chris Cornell, the iconic frontman of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog,  took his on life and left behind a void that can never be filled. It is essential to reflect on the profound impact he had on the music industry and the enduring legacy he left behind. If you, a loved one, or someone you know is in a crisis or struggling with suicide call The National Suicide Prevention Center by dialing 988 or log on to https://988lifeline.org Great Job Kyle  you are #1! Salute!
