The cookie company made the announcement official on social media, writing, "Case closed! The #MysteryOREO is Churro flavored creme. Nice work, super-sleuths. We have notified the winner directly."
The Mystery Flavor contest has been going on for months. Oreo announced that whoever could guess the flavor would win $50,000.
A rep for Oreo gave detail to People about the latest creation, saying, "Known for delighting street fair and carnival-goers across the globe, Churro is becoming an increasingly popular flavor trend in the U.S., which made it the perfect, playful Mystery OREO flavor to surprise fans." They add, "The hints of cinnamon flavor in Churro flavored creme were picked up by many supertasters."
