New Track From A Perfect Circle Now Streaming
As it preps for the start of a new North American tour this weekend, A Perfect Circle has released the first song from its upcoming fourth album.
The cheerfully titled “The Doomed” is the “first music to be heard from the multi-platinum outfit’s highly anticipated 2018 full-length,” the first official acknowledgment that a new album is on the way.
In a statement acknowledging the 14 years since APC’s last release, eMOTIVe, frontman Maynard James Keenan says that, “A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.”
Guitarist and co-founder Billy Howerdel adds that, “Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment. We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we’re on.”
No release date or title has been revealed for the new album, which is still being recorded with co-producer Dave Sardy.
APC’s tour begins Saturday (October 21), at the Monster Energy Aftershock 2017 festival in Sacramento, Calif., with dates running into early December.
