Mom Unable To Wake Young Son Who Slept For Eleven Days Straight
A worried Kentucky mother brought her son to the hospital after being unable to wake him up.
According to CBS Philly, the mother, Amy Thompson, grew concerned after she could not get her son out of bed.
The boy, named Wyatt, is seven-years-old. Amy said the boy attended his Uncle’s wedding the night before falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning, when his mother tried to wake him, Wyatt would open his eyes and fall right back to sleep.
Obviously, this frightened his mother, as she noticed her son appeared to be in a semi-unconscious state and unaware of what was going on around him.
After 11 days, the boy finally woke up. However, after being asleep for so long, the boy was very weak and had difficulty walking.
Doctors are still trying to pinpoint what caused the boy to fall into such a deep sleep.
