Talking Staten Island Baseball On the Morning Jolt

The Little League World Series gets underway this afternoon in Williamsport PA, and our area will be well-represented by Staten Island's Mid-Island Little Leaguers who open up against Des Moines at 3 PM.

Nick DeFendis, the Executive Director of the Richmond County Baseball Club on Staten Island has had a number of the Mid-Island players come through his program and he spoke with Jim Monaghan and John Hodorovych about the team, its impact on the local community, and its chance to do something a Staten Island team hasn't done since 1964 - win it all!
