New Details Surface After Mother Mysteriously Disappears On Thanksgiving
A missing mother from Colorado has not been seen since Thanksgiving.
Now, police are offering new details in her case.
The woman, identified as Kelsey Berreth, 29, reportedly went shopping with her one-year-old child at a nearby store on Thanksgiving.
Later in the day, her fiance picked up the child at Berreth’s home.
Despite being engaged, the couple didn’t share a home. It’s also unclear why they were not spending Thanksgiving together.
According to the New York Post, three days after Thanksgiving, two texts were sent from Berreth’s phone.
At the time, the signal pinged near a tower in Idaho, hundreds of miles away from her Colorado home.
Fox News is reporting that authorities searched her residence and found her vehicles and purse still at home.
The first text was sent to her employer and stated that she needed to take a week off of work.
The second text was sent to her fiance. Authorities have not revealed the contents of the text sent to her fiance.
Berreth has family who resides in Idaho, however, they have not heard from her.
Despite going missing on Thanksgiving, Berreth was not officially reported missing (by her mom) until after she failed to return to work on December 2.
It’s unclear when Berreth’s fiance was supposed to return the child to her care, but he did not report her missing.
The search for Berreth is ongoing.
