New Jersey Sets Statewide Curfew Due To COVID-19 Pandemic
New Jersey residents are now being asked to not leave their home between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Governor Phil Murphy put a statewide curfew in place as of today (March 16) in attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The necessary action comes after the state revealed that there is now more than 100 cases of the coronavirus throughout New Jersey.
In New Jersey, 13 additional cases were announced on Monday by Bergen County officials. At least two people have died as of Sunday.
We do not take any of the steps we’ve announced today lightly. We know that these will impact residents and families, communities, and businesses. But our paramount concern is to #FlattenTheCurve – these steps will ensure we do not overload our health care system.
