Krispy Kreme Sparks Controversy For Free Doughnut Incentive
As we reported yesterday, Krispy Kreme is offering free doughnuts for those people who have gotten all or part of their COVID vaccination.
Their campaign allows anyone who shows their COVID-19 vaccination card a free Original Glazed doughnut – any time, any day, and even every day, for the remainder of 2021 in the U.S.
The doughnut company supports everyone getting vaccinated and those administering the shots, even offering employees up to four hours of paid time off each to get vaccinated.
Although a lot of reactions have been positive towards the company’s incentives, some have blasted Krispy Kreme on Twitter for “selling poison to people,” the Independent reports.
I hear donuts are great for diabetes...

Such irony - Krispy Kreme donuts were the comorbidity that made me eligible to get vaccinated in the first place!

If you can be bribed with a Krispy Kreme donut, your problems don't end there.

in 2 years Tom Hanks is gonna win an Oscar for playing the guy at Krispy Kreme whose idea to give out a free donut every day for a year to anyone getting vaccinated ultimately saved our nation, isn't he?

Per the Independent, Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena said, “We all want to get Covid-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them.”
