Scott Weiland Widow Claims He Didn’t Die From An Overdose
Scott Weiland died in December 2015 at age 48. The medical examiner declared his death was from an accidental overdose, but his widow claims Weiland’s death wasn’t due to any substances found in his system.
In an appearance on the Appetite for Distortion podcast, Jamie Weiland says various health issues were the root cause of the singer’s death.
“The truth is Scott died because the main artery in his left ventricle was 95 percent blocked,” said Jamie. “That came from 10 years of heroin use, that came from an entire adult life of chain smoking.”
She did say there were trace amounts of drugs in his system, but it wasn’t enough for an overdose. Jamie stands by Scott dying due to all of the previous damage he did to his heart from past drug and alcohol use and smoking.
Scott Weiland’s Son Releases Track Featuring Late Father’s Vocals
In April, Scott Weiland’s son, Noah, released a new song titled “Time Will Tell.” The track notably features previously unreleased vocals from his late father.
The song was uploaded to YouTube and can be heard below. The clip’s description on YouTube reads, “I LOVE YOU DAD, KEEPING YOUR NAME ALIVE.” The upload of “Time Will Tell” just features what appears to be the single’s artwork, which is a photo of Noah as a young child with Scott.
(NOTE: It’s accompanied by a “Parental Advisory” sticker, so be warned that some NSFW language is ahead.)
In an Instagram post about the track, Noah writes, “Can’t believe I’m saying this right now, but basically, I been getting blackmailed by a random number that somehow has a very old version of a song I have with my father.”
Noah continues, “And because of that, I am basically forced to release a song I had no intentions of releasing until way further into my career cause this coward really thinks I’m about to send them $2k to not leak it. Sooo, I beat ’em to the punch. Funny enough, I saw ‘TIME WILL TELL’ written on a bathroom wall the day I got that txt. Maybe my dad thought it was time?”
Noah concludes by writing, “After years of struggling with addiction, homelessness, people hiding my dad’s money, liars, backstabbers, growing up too fast, losing my bro Gio, old friends turned foes, I been through a lot, but the person I was years ago is FAR from who I am now.”
