Man Injured By Display At Victoria’s Secret Flagship NYC Store
A man was reportedly badly injured by a display at a Victoria’s Secret in New York City. Was the store negligent in where it placed the display?
That’s what the man is trying to claim after reportedly being seriously injured by the display. It happened at the Victoria’s Secret flagship store in New York City on Fifth Avenue. He ended up needing emergency care! That’s not what you expect to happen during an innocent trip to Victoria’s Secret.

He was probably there getting a gift for a loved one and never would have expected it to end with an emergency. It’s one of the last places you expect to be injured at, and probably one of the last places you want to be injured. Of course, that depends on who you’re buying gifts for.
According to The New York Post, Steven J. Goodman of Parkland, Florida, visited the flagship Victoria’s Secret store in New York City on November 15th when he sustained serious injuries because of a “negligently” placed display. The New York Post reports said that the display sat “above the staircase and handrail.” Now, the 66-year-old is saying the store was aware of the “dangerous and trap-like condition” that he says was responsible for him ending up in emergency medical care, per The New York Post.
Not only did he receive treatment after sustaining the injuries, but it sounds like he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He says he will need additional care in the future, too. Thankfully, he’s pretty familiar with healthcare companies, as he is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of EvAl Home Health Solutions, a company that owns and operates home healthcare companies across Southeast Florida.
The New York Post reports that Goodman’s lawsuit names Victoria’s Secret & Co. as a defendant and is seeking unspecified damages. This might have been the first incident where someone was seriously injured and nobody was around with a camera to record it. It would have been interesting to see how the man was seriously injured by a display at Victoria’s Secret. Hopefully, he recovers fully and doesn’t have lasting injuries. Also, hopefully he was there buying a gift for his wife. It would be very awkward if he was busted at Victoria’s Secret buying stuff that’s not her size. It would be a horrible way to be busted having an affair (not like there’s a good way to be caught).
