Apple Fires Engineer After Daughter Shares Viral iPhone X Video
Man, I can only imagine getting my dad fired and how hard home life would be after that.
Apple lost an engineer after his daughter, Brooke Peterson shared a clip on YouTube of her father’s new iPhone X. Brooke wasn’t exactly supposed to be filming anything on campus of Apple when she visited her dad, and she also was showing off the newest phone, which most people have seen schematics for already. Apple’s reasoning, according to Endgadget was that “This wasn’t a garden variety iPhone X,” and “As an employee device, it had sensitive information like codenames for unreleased products and staff-specific QR codes.”
Brooke then followed up on her video after it had been taken down, though of course, someone else has uploaded the SAME video to show what she had recorded.
Her response was that “At the end of the day, when you work for Apple it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are,” Peterson says, and that her dad took full responsibility for letting her film his phone. “If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance. They had to do what they had to do. I’m not mad at Apple. I’m not going to stop buying Apple products.”

People are now bullying her and her dad online, and she says in her video “You know what, guys? Hate on me all you want, but please don’t hate on my father because he is the best person. I have absolutely no tolerance for the people who think that they know him. And, for the people who are calling us names, I don’t understand the amount of hate that is in this world.”
