New Esports Sitcom, “The Squad” Starring Johnny Galecki
First, we were excited that Ballers was introducing esports into the show, and at that moment we realized that esports is hitting the mainstream. But now, NBC has begun development on a new sitcom based around esports, starring none other than former star of The Big Bang Theory, Johnny Galecki.
The Squad is written by former producer and writer for The Big Bang Theory, Anthony Del Broccolo, and is based around a group of friends who develop a friendship because of their mutual love of esports.
It would seems Galecki and Del Broccolo are willing to use their clout to create more adventurous television, and we hope only the best of luck as the show goes further into development.
