National Coffee Day takes place on Thursday, September 29, and in support of the unofficial holiday, WalletHub has released its report on 2022’s Best Coffee Cities In America.

Now, where is the actual best coffee scene in America? Thanks to the personal finance website, experts compared the 100 largest cities across 12 key indicators of strong coffee culture.

According to a news release, the data set ranges from coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita to the average price per pack of coffee.

While Orlando, Florida, has the most coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés (per square root of population), Fremont, California has the highest average annual spending on coffee per household.

Where does that leave the state of New Jersey? Well, Jersey City landed in the No. 22 spot on the list of  Best Coffee Cities in America for 2022. In addition, Jersey City also ranks No. 5 in the grouping for the highest percentage of adult coffee drinkers in America.
