We are so excited that this Saturday people and pups will gather once again for Eleventh Hour Rescue’s 19th annual PUPTOBERFEST 2023 at Horseshoe Lake on Eyeland Avenue in Succasunna!
Puoptoberfest has become an annual celebration for WDHA and we are always happy to be part of such a great day for a great cause!
Eleventh Hour is a 501C3 charity that helps animals find loving, forever homes.
Puotoberfest is a fantastic event that starts at 11a and runs until 4p and has vendors, food trucks, doggie contests, (including a costume contest) and is home of the WDHA Ultimate Rock Dogs Contest, (starting promptly at 1p) helping the Rock Of New Jersey choose our station winner. Hang with your favorite WDHA personalities, Jim Monaghan of the WDHA Morning Jolt, TC, Mike Anthony, Swendy and more! Our live WDHA broadcast begins at 11am and we will have great swag for you and your dog to win.
WDHA thanks our sponsors, Calandra’s, Core Hydration Water, Home Towne Pet Shoppe, Zoom and Groom, Troast Auto Body and Heavy Metal Zen (who will be supplying our Ultimate Rock Dogs top 12 and their humans with goodie bags!)
There are plenty of activities for the kids too and a tremendous Tricky Tray and 50/50 Raffle.
And of course the most important thing? Animal Adoption. Eleventh Hour Rescue recommends getting pre-approved as an adopter before you come to Puptoberfest to find your new best friend. There will be many dogs and cats (and I even hear maybe bunnies) waiting to meet you and say hello. It’s a great opportunity to meet some loving animals, spend the day with family and friends, party with WDHA, cheer on your fave in the Ultimate Rock Dogs Contest, win some prizes, shop, eat and of course support a great, local cause. It's Eleventh Hour Rescue's Biggest Fundraiser Of The Year
There is an admission Fee to attend as the event is Eleventh Hour Rescue’s largest fundraiser of the year.
It’s $11 per adult- $5 per student and children under 5 are admitted for free!
Dogs are welcome too of course, on a leash, non-retractable leashes only!
Eleventh Hour Rescue is a 501C3 charity that houses, vets , feeds and cares for hundreds of dogs and cats.

The Location Is Horseshoe Lake on Eyeland Avenue in Succasunna (Roxbury Township)
Horseshoe Lake is a beautiful spacious lake/park/complex located conveniently off of rt 10, 80, 287 on Eyeland avenue in Succasunna. There is ample parking in the main lot, but it does fill up fast so get there early as parking is available in adjacent lots.

There are close to 100 vendors in the giant vendor village area with local crafters, businesses and and talented artists, cool clothing and much more available for purchase. It’s a fun and unique shopping experience for the whole family!

Puptoberfest Is A Rain Or Shine Event

The weather for Saturday is predicted to be great! Not too hot, too cold or rainy….however Puptoberfest is a rain or shine event and we always have a great time whatever the weather!
The WDHA Ultimate Rock Dogs Contest Is Held Onsite At The Event

Make sure you are at Puptoberfest at 1p when we hold our super fun WDHA Ultimate Rock Dogs Finals in front of the stage at Horseshoe Lake! Our 12 finalists will be competing to see who is crowned WDHA”s Ultimate Rock Dog 2024- and gets the cover of our charity calendar!
It’s a blast as we get to know our top 12, introduce them to the crowd and our judges panel.

Dress To Impress at Puptoberfest! There is an afternoon costume contest for dogs and their humans! It’s always a blast so some ready to rock!

There are two ways to meet a new friend at Puptoberfest- If you are curious about adoption, come and meet the many homeless animals that will be onsite. If you know you are really sure you want to adopt, it’s always a great idea to fill out an application for “pre-approval” EHR Application Information

We Will Remember Our Friend- Roger Keyser- From Eleventh Hour Rescue

Sadly, Eleventh Hour Rescue has lost its leader a few months ago. Roger Keyser. Many of you may remember him from hearing his voice on WDHA’s Rock N’ Ruff. Roger died of Pancreatic Cancer this summer as did EHR founder Linda Schiller in 2020. He is missed beyond measure and will be present in spirit on Saturday. Rest In Peace Roger and Linda.
