Ol’ Cappy is back on the list again with another request from his Van Halen Deepcuts that Rock Request . It was DOA. “DOA” kicks off with a thunderous guitar riff courtesy of the late Eddie Van Halen, immediately grabbing the listener’s attention. The combination of his shredding guitar work and the driving rhythm section provided by Alex Van Halen on drums and Michael Anthony on bass creates a powerful foundation for the song. David Lee Roth’s gritty vocals soar above the instrumentation, delivering the fierce and defiant lyrics that reflect the song’s title: “Dead on arrival, well, it’s bringin’ me down.” great Job Bonzo! The LI Gunner tops the list with his request to honor the Legend Ronnie James Dio. On this solemn day, we commemorate the anniversary of the death of one of heavy metal’s most iconic and beloved figures, Ronnie James Dio. The world of rock n roll still mourns the loss of his incredible talent, spirit, and unwavering passion for music. As the frontman for bands such as Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and Dio, he left an undeniable mark on the genre, captivating audiences with his powerful vocals, engaging stage presence, and thought-provoking lyrics. Dio’s impact extended far beyond his music; he was a symbol of resilience, inspiration, and unity within the rock and metal community. Today, I kicked off the RRZ in  honor  of Ronnie James Dio with “Rock N Roll Children”. It was released in 1985 as a single from the album “Sacred Heart,” it captures the essence of youth, rebellion, and the transcendent power of rock music. With its soaring melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and Dio’s iconic voice, “Rock n Roll Children” stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of rock and its ability to ignite the imagination. We miss you Ronnie. Great Job Gunner! Salute!
