Looks Like Jimmy Page’s Feud with Pop Singer Robbie Williams is Over
Jimmy Page has received what many consider a long-overdue apology from British pop singer Robbie Williams for calling the Led Zeppelin founder mentally ill.
Page and Williams, who are neighbors in London, have feuded publicly over Page’s objections to renovations Williams wanted to make to his home. Williams accused Page of spying on his projects but this week issued a statement trying to diffuse the rancor between the two:
“Jimmy Page has explained to me that certain specific factual assertions which I made were in fact not true and I am happy to accept what Jimmy Page says. I understand why Jimmy Page may have found my comments offensive and I apologize for any hurt that they have caused him and his family as a result…I regret that the press went on to report them and I hope that the press will now remove them.”
Page and Williams have taken their grievances in front of the local town council to sort out.
