LISTEN: Prophets of Rage Release New Track “Living on the 110”
After announcing the release date of their first LP, Prophets of Rage are giving fans their first taste of the self-titled album with the lead single “Living on the 110.”
The track is a commentary on the issue of homelessness in the United States, with Tom Morello telling Rolling Stone in a statement, “The 110 is a freeway in Los Angeles and living beneath it are thousands of homeless people. Bentleys and Rolls Royces roaring by are literally driving on top of the poor and their makeshift homes, a picture perfect analogy for the grotesque economic inequality that plagues our times.”
The Prophets of Rage LP comes out September 15 and is currently available for pre-order at ProphetsOfRage.com where exclusive “Resistance Party Packs” are available.
