KISS Donating Items To Benefit Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
KISS is stepping up to do a solid for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in the wake of the May terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert in the city.
Frontman Paul Stanley will be auctioning off one of his custom Ibanez PS120 guitars, which he’s autographed, next year to raise money for the hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which treated victims from the attack.
In a statement Stanley says that, “We were devastated by the heinous attack in Manchester Arena and had to do something to support the city. The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital’s incredible work with children was never more evident than after this horrific event. We are humbled to be able to give something to support them in their ongoing efforts. Knowing that the money raised will go towards purchasing life-support ventilators, our prayers and wishes will continue to help both those affected directly by the attack, and beyond.”
The guitar goes on the block on March 17 as part of the Red Sea Pedestrians 10th Anniversary Charity Ball, a fundraiser for the hospital at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel. KISS is also auctioning VIP tickets and backstage passes to a concern anywhere in the world. KISS is off the road until August 17, when it plays at Casino Rama in Ontario.
