FFDP Settle Lawsuit With Former Record Label
Five Finger Death Punch has lots of new music on the way in the wake of a settlement with its former record company.
A statement from FFDP says that the group and Prospect Park “have resolved their dispute and differences” after a protracted legal battle over contractual issues. The settlement includes “the release of a greatest hits album with two new songs in December 2017 and the release of a new record next year. The band is very proud of the new record and look forward to releasing it and playing it for its fans.”
These will be FFDP’s last releases for Prospect Park; Back in May of 2016 the group announced it signed a deal with Rise Records, which gave, er, rise to the legalities with Prospect Park. The latter claimed that FFDP still owed it the compilation as well as one new album, which the group will be delivering via the settlement.
FFDP returns to the road Sunday (October 22) for the Monster Energy Aftershock 2017 festival in Sacramento, Calif., and begins a European tour on November 9 in Moscow.
