The Black Keys Release “Lo/Hi,” First New Song in Five Years
Five years after the release of their last album Turn Blue, The Black Keys are back with the new single “Lo/Hi.”
The surprise release comes after Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney have pursued various solo interests for the past few years. Auerbach’s side-project, The Arcs, released Yours, Dreamily, in 2015. Auerbach also released a solo LP, Waiting on a Song, in 2017. Carney, meanwhile, has been busy taking on more producing projects, with his most notable credit coming from the 2017 Michelle Branch album Hopeless Romantic, whom he started dating and had a child with in 2018.
So far, no details about an upcoming album have been announced.
