HELLYEAH Announce New Album, U.S. Tour Dates
HELLYEAH will be doing right by Vinnie Paul Abbott in hitting the road this summer and releasing their sixth studio album, which features the late drummer’s final recordings.
Welcome Home will be released on September 27 and is currently available for pre-order here. A new video for the album’s title track will be coming out on Friday, May 17. This will be the album’s second preview track following “333,” which can be heard below.
The band has also announced a tour for this summer that kicks off July 23 in Atlanta and wraps August 17 in Dallas. In a statement on the tour, bassist Kyle Sanders said, “While Vinnie Paul is obviously irreplaceable, one thing we can’t not do is tour. As easy as it would be to say we’re not going on the road, we have to. Vinnie would be extremely disappointed in us if we didn’t promote this record properly. He’d be pissed off at all of us for putting all this work into finishing the record and then just letting it sit there on the shelf while we put a couple of songs to radio and whatever…and we know that.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17 at 10 AM local time. Fan club pre-sales begin on Tuesday, May 14 at 10 AM local time. Complete ticket information can be found at HELLYEAHband.com. To honor the memory of Vinnie Paul, whose death was ruled as a result of heart disease, HELLYEAH will donate $1 of every ticket sold to the American Heart Association.
