‘Saturday Night Live’ To Return This Weekend
Saturday Night Live will return with an original show this weekend (April 11), but it might not be coming from 30 Rock. According to NBC, the episode will be produced remotely and will include “Weekend Update” and other original content from the cast members. There was no mention of a guest host or musical act.
SNL joins other comedy shows, including most of the late-night shows, in creating content outside of their usual studio environment. But whereas most of the late-night shows are taped a few hours in advance, SNL is usually live, aside from some pretaped segments.
