Corey Taylor Says He’s Finished First Solo Album in Quarantine
Corey Taylor has been keeping busy during the coronavirus pandemic and has completed his first solo album while in quarantine.
Taylor shared the news with Lzzy Hale on “We Are Hear” (embedded below) and said, “All the songs are things that I’ve written over the years but they didn’t really fit with either band. So, it’s stuff that I’ve just kind of been sitting on. I’ve been kind of talking about doing a solo album anyway, and I was just, like, ‘This is the perfect time to do it.'”
In total, Taylor said he has about 25 songs recorded, and he laid down all of those track in about two-and-a-half weeks. As for when fans will get to hear this new music, that’s currently up in the air, but Taylor said, “Right now, we’re just trying to brainstorm to see what’s next.”
