Royal Blood Releases Video for New Single ‘Trouble’s Coming’
Royal Blood dropped the music video for their latest single “Trouble’s Coming,” and it features Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher either on the run from trouble or the trouble that’s coming.
The dizzying clip shows Kerr with a bloody mouth, clearly the result of some sort of skirmish, but we never see what’s exactly happened to the bassist/vocalist. Thatcher is driving away from the scene and he appears to put Kerr in the trunk of his car, but Kerr is also seen riding shotgun. The video also features performance footage of the British duo that is akin to the effects best known from The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” video.
“Trouble’s Coming” is Royal Blood’s first piece of new music in three years since 2017’s How Did We Get So Dark? In a statement on the song, the duo said, “Royal blood, sweat and tears of joy have been shed to get to this very moment, but it feels so incredible to finally let you in to our new world. We made this wholeheartedly for ourselves, and allowed everything we love about music to reveal itself. We’re totally besotted with every detail and this is just the beginning of something really special! We hope you get as much of a buzz out of it as we do. It’s all yours now.”
