Andrew Garfield Reacts to Spider-Man: No Way Home Set Photo Leak
Andrew Garfield is doing more press for Spider-Man: No Way Home than Tom Holland, and he hasn’t even been confirmed yet to be in the movie,
Last night, the 38-year-old actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and had to think quick when confronted about a high-resolution video which appears to depict the Brit wearing a Spider-Man costume, while talking to someone else in gloves from a Spider-Man costume, suggesting that it could be a multiversal moment from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

During the interview, Garfield acted oblivious to the existence of the photo and footage when Fallon asked him about it, telling the host, “I’m not sure about that,” to which Fallon says, “We are! We’re pretty sure. We’re pretty sure about it so we know what’s up.”
As they burst into laughter, Fallon adds, “What I’m telling you is — you’re gonna be — you’re in the new Spider-Man: No Way Home, congratulations!”
“Wait, what?!” answered Garfield. “I had no idea.” Fallon then asked if Garfield saw the leaked photo in question, but kept playing coy.
Garfield told Fallon that “if you can show me the photo, I can tell you if it’s me, or if it’s a real thing,” but Fallon said that the image had been erased from the internet, and Garfield hilariously countered, “Well, how convenient, Detective Fallon!” He then admitted to seeing the photo, but claimed Photoshop.

“I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I’m a fan as well. You can’t help but imagine scenes and moments of ‘Oh, my God, how f—ing cool would it be if they did that?'” Garfield recently told Variety. “But it’s important for me to say on the record that this is not something I’m aware I am involved in. But I know I’m not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don’t know what’s happening. No matter what I say, I’m f—ed. It’s either going to be really disappointing for people or it’s going to be really exciting.”
Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Benedict Cumberbatch, Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to open in theaters on December 17.
