Nandi Bushell Shares Drum Tribute to Meg White, Proves (Again) The Kids Are Alright
Nandi Bushell has joined the masses in standing up for Meg White and her drumming.
As previously reported, writer Lachlan Markay took Meg’s drumming to task in a tweet he has since deleted due to intense backlash. Markay shared a tweet about “Seven Nation Army” being considered “the best song of this century.” He wrote, in part, with his retweet, “The tragedy of the White Stripes is how great they would’ve been with a half decent drummer.”
Bushell, who’s a multi-instrumentalist but clearly loves the drums, shared the video below on her social media channels. The 12-year-old enthusiastically drummed along to “Seven Nation Army” while yelling her head off.

The caption of the video is incredibly sweet. Bushell writes, in part, “Meg and @officialjackwhite wrote some of the best songs in #rock #history. They moved me at 5 years old to want to play the drums and still move me today! My screams are for you Meg! You are and always will be my role model and hero!”
Once again, if I could be guaranteed they’d be as cool as Nandi, I’d give birth to a buttload of children. She’s just so great!
