Pennsylvania and New Jersey Have Some Delicious Brunch Spots
Who doesn’t love a good brunch? Thankfully, Pennsylvania and New Jersey have lots of fantastic brunch options. Brunch is one of my favorite meals. As a vegetarian, breakfast offers lots of options for me, from pancakes (with chocolate-chips, please) to eggs to cereal. Hey, don’t judge. I’m the person who sometimes takes plain old cereal at the breakfast buffet, because it somehow tastes better when it’s part of an official brunch. Now, some food experts have highlighted some of the best options in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area.
Delicious Pennsylvania and New Jersey Brunches
The food experts at the Philadelphia Inquirer have taken to the streets to taste and find the best brunch spots in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. “Whether you’re a fan of fluffy short stacks or crave the savory goodness of shrimp and grits, the Philadelphia area offers a brunch experience that knows no bounds,” they wrote. “From Drexel Hill to Blackwood, the region is dotted with restaurants perfect to get your brunch on, complete with cups of coffee and bottomless mimosas.”
For something a little different than the average one, try Tank & Libby’s, which is located at 1011 Pontiac Road in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. So, what makes this spot so different? “Known for its breakfast tacos featuring bacon, guac, salsa roja, and cheddar wrapped in flour tortillas, the menu also offers omelets, French toast, and chicken and waffles with bacon bits baked inside,” The Inquirer noted. They add that this spot also serves La Colombe coffee, which apparently is extra special and tasty. “Tank & Libby’s was born in 2018 out of a friendship between two chefs, a love of good quality, fresh food, and their childhood nicknames,” the restaurant explains on their website.
Over in New Jersey area, they rave about Café Le Jardin, which is located at 34 West Merchant Street in Audubon. Note that reservations are recommended for this place. “In Audubon, Café Le Jardin offers all-day brunch on Sundays, featuring eggs Benedict, crème brûlée French toast, beef bourguignonne omelets, escargot, frog legs, roasted lamb rack, and more,” The Inquirer stated. “Chef-owner Richard ‘Todd’ Cusack’s French cafe is perfect for a leisurely meal paired with lattes or chocolat chaud (hot chocolate).” I love a good hot chocolate, so sign me up. “Audubon may be the “Most Patriotic Small Town in America” but, while you are having brunch or dinner in its cozy dining room or outdoor patio, you will feel as though you have been transported to a corner café in Paris,” the restaurant writes on their website.
