AIC’s Fantasy Football League and Auction Donating Proceeds In Honor of Cornell, Bennington
Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez are heading into the eighth year of their “Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League & Auction” and will honor the memories of Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.
The league’s auction proceeds this year will be split in half and go to two charities: MusiCares in Cornell’s name and Music For Relief in Bennington’s name.
The auction itself features some amazing items, including signed guitars from Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, Deftones, Stone Sour, Anthrax, Zakk Wylde and even a private guitar lesson with Cantrell. All auction items are up for bids now through August 24.
As for who is taking part in this fantasy league, its members include the aforementioned Cantrell and Inez, Duff McKagan, Vinnie Paul, Scott Ian, Benny Horowitz of Gaslight Anthem, Rich Eisen, Michael Rapaport, NFL.com fantasy football columnist Michael Faviano and former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
Damn…if only we could join this league, if only for all the trash talking.
