Kirk Hammett Working on New Riffs While in Self-Quarantine
Kirk Hammett, like most people stuck at home during the Coronavirus pandemic, is making the most of his time by working on new riffs.
In a post to Instagram, Hammett shared, “Things are most definitely not business-as-usual, but I’m good, staying safe, working on riffs … hope you are all okay out there as well.”
Hopefully, Hammett will be recording these riffs on a device with a secured cloud backup. Back during the writing and recording of Metallica’s 2016 album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, Hammett made headlines for saying he lost 250-300 riff ideas for the album when he lost the cell phone he used to record them. Fingers crossed that he learned his lesson since that unfortunate incident.
