Jon Bon Jovi Gives Update on David Byran, Says His Son Had Coronavirus Symptoms
Jon Bon Jovi gave a brief update on bandmate David Bryan, who announced over a week ago he tested positive for COVID-19.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bon Jovi said, “David’s got it. He’s a tough guy. His is bronchial, his is respiratory. He says, ‘I’m fine, I’m fine,’ and then he’ll hack and cough. I feel terrible for him, because he sounds pretty bad, but he says he’s doing good. His wife also tested positive, but she shows no symptoms.”
Bryan shared via Instagram on March 21, “I just got my results back today and tested positive for coronavirus. I’ve been sick for a week and feeling better each day. Please don’t be afraid!!! It’s the flu, not the plague. I’ve have been quarantined for a week and will for another week. And when I feel better I’ll get tested again to make sure I’m free of this nasty virus. Please help out each other. This will be over soon… with the help of every American!!”
Bon Jovi also shared his 17-year-old son, Jacob, had Coronavirus symptoms recently, but he has since recovered.
“Jake had a mild version of it. Just the intestinal kind,” said Bon Jovi. “We’re all now even more so watching so that we don’t develop any symptoms.”
Bon Jovi added, “[My wife] Dorothea created the quarantine zone, you know, with the laundry room being triaged and no one could go in there unless they had gloves and a mask and she had a bathrobe on backwards and different slippers. It looked like a MASH unit. But we kept him in there until all of the symptoms had cleared and now he’s a hundred percent…He did not get a test, because it’s pretty difficult to get one. It stemmed from some of the young guys that we had taken in here that also tested, they were tested and tested positive and had the main symptoms but they had left, and so we just followed those same protocols.”
