Metallica Share November 1991 Show as Part of #MetallicaMondays Video Series
Metallica has been sharing relatively recent shows as part of their #MetallicaMondays video series, but their latest offering sees the band going back to night three of “The Black Album” tour.
Embedded below is Metallica’s November 1, 1991 set at L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, Michigan, which reportedly can hold a cozy 5,200 people during concerts, a far cry from the stadium crowds Metallica is used to performing in front of nowadays.
In an intro to the concert, Lars Ulrich says the show was saved on an old VHS tape, which is obvious when there are some tracking issues during the opening of “Enter Sandman.” The footage itself was “filmed with house cameras with audio pulled straight from the soundboard,” so none of the polish fans are used to seeing with much of Metallica’s filmed performances today.
