Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross Win Emmy, Now A Tony Win Away from EGOT
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross added to their ever-growing mantle of trophies last night (September 17) with a win at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The songwriting duo won the Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or Special for their work on HBO’s Watchmen.
With this win, this makes Reznor and Ross a Tony win away from the prestigious EGOT. Both Reznor and Ross won a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for their work on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in 2012. The duo won an Academy Award in 2011 for Best Original Music Score for their work on The Social Network.
How Reznor and Ross could win a Tony is anyone’s guess, but who would’ve thought a decade ago we’d even be having this EGOT conversation about them?
