AC/DC Release New Behind-The-Scenes Video: ‘This One’s For Mal’
AC/DC released a short behind-the-scenes video featuring Angus Young and Brian Johnson where they briefly touch on the late Malcolm Young.
Angus says in the video below, “I know Mal’s not with us anymore, but he’s there with us in spirit. This band was his baby, his life. He was always one [to say], ‘You keep going.'”
Johnson chimed in saying while pointed to the band’s new album, Power Up, “He would have been proud of it I think.”
AC/DC’s new studio album will serve as a tribute to Malcolm. “This record is pretty much a dedication to Malcolm, my brother,” said Angus in an interview with Rolling Stone. “It’s a tribute for him like ‘Back in Black’ was a tribute to Bon Scott.”
Angus continued, “His big line always, every now and again, he’d go… He always said, ‘If you’re a musician, it’s a bit like being on the Titanic. The band goes down with the ship.’ That’s how he viewed it.”
Due out November 13, Power Up contains 12 new tracks and is available for pre-save on major digital platforms here. The album is also available for pre-order in physical formats at ACDC.com where fans can find the album on CD, vinyl and special light-up box set that also comes with a 20 page booklet.
