Well, the end of the road has come for KISS fans! (This time we think it’s for real) with two farewell shows coming to Madison Square Garden this weekend- Friday 12/1 and the FINAL show on Saturday 12/2. Need a ticket? GOOD LUCK! They are next to impossible to come by.
WDHA has been with Kiss since we started back in 1978-79 as “The Rock Of North Jersey” with members stopping by over the years. Gene, Paul , Ace, Peter, Eric (Carr and Singer) Bruce , heck I think even Vinnie Vincent rambled over!
My fondest memories of the band were in the 1990’s , when they were fixtures at our WDHA studios multiple times, during many album promotional cycles and always on MY show! And we had some great times with the guys especially Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. We even had contest winners in studio a few times and man was that a blast!
With the final two shows coming to the area at Madison Square Garden this Friday and Saturday, I grabbed 5 photos from my personal collection of great Kiss memories, which always involved The God Of Thunder and The Starchild. Many ask me what it was like to interview Gene. One word- FUN! he always keeps you on your toes and everything has a “double meaning’ – typical Gene!
This year WDHA I will host WDHA’s Annual “Merry Kissmas” as we celebrate all things KISS. show on Friday 12/15 from 1:05p-3p. Kiss tunes, interview clips, rarities, requests as we celebrate all things KISS. Tickets are basically SOLD OUT- BUT on occasion open up on Ticketmaster- so keep checking back- you never know!
I hope to run into a bunch of you at Friday’s show- and of course those that are going Saturday are so lucky! The TRUE “End Of The Road”
