The Masked Singer has been on the air in the United States since 2019 and has been a hit for Fox. Since its debut, it has aired ten seasons and well over 100 episodes.

The premise of the show finds a wide range of celebrities in a singing competition. The catch is they’re wearing elaborate costumes disguising their identity. Hosted by Nick Cannon, the series features a celebrity panel that tries to guess the identity of each contestant. The recurring celebrity panel includes Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nichole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.

Not only is the show a hit in the United States, it’s incredibly successful worldwide. Beginning in South Korea in 2015 as King of Mask Singer, the series has been recreated and adapted in over 50 countries. Select countries even had the spin-off series The Masked Dancer.

During its run, The Masked Singer has been nominated for numerous awards. Among its notable wins are two Primetime Emmys in 2020 and 2021. Both wins were for Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program. The show has also been recognized with nominations from the Kids’ Choice Awards, MTV Movie + TV Awards and the Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards.
