Rosie Carr LOVES Halloween! And So Do I…….
It’s Terrie Carr and The Season Of The Witch is here, (even though the Jersey weather feels a bit more like Dogust) and it’s time for me to have some fun with my best buddy – Rosie Carr – Adopted from the Denville Animal Shelter – 8 short years ago. Rosie has brought so much joy, laughter, and fun to my life, and she has such a unique personality and enjoys dressing up.
I think it’s because I try to make it fun, playing with her (a few treats don’t hurt) and spending time together. She has her own “clothing trunk” and sometimes she hangs by it barking, for me to open it up and take her clothes out! Halloween is so much fun. Horror characters, rock and roll themes, Song Title Tributes, There is always something cool for Rosie to wear.
Rosie’s History
I found Rosie in 2016 at Denville Animal Shelter, where she and her siblings and mom were residing after being rescued from a hoarding situation in which 276 small dogs were found in one New Jersey home. I fell in love with her instantly and decided to adopt her. Below is a video of her story as it appeared on “Inside Edition.” I’m so grateful I was able to find my best friend, and in one of our local shelter groups, no less. What a treasure.
