Duets are always best with a female/male dynamic if you ask me! TC here, and with the Coffee Break theme being duets this week, I compiled my top ten faves featuring some of rock’s most amazing voices.
Passion, Power and Perfection here are 10 I absolutely love…..

  • Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty- Stop Dragging My Heart Around

A TP tune that was supposed to be on a Heartbreaker’s album, it found it’s way to Stevie via Producer Jimmy Iovine and the melding of their voices is absolute perfection.

  • In This Moment/Rob Halford - Black Wedding

When Billy Idol (White Wedding) couldn’t appear on the tune, Rob Halford did and it’s AMAZING! Had to include some wild old/new Metal on this list…..and the video is KILLER!

  • Lita Ford/Ozzy Osbourne- Close My Eyes Forever

According to Lita’s book there was so much chemistry in this duet, Sharon thought there was funny biz going on! According to Lita there was NOT!

    What a classic…..

  • Amy Lee-/Seether- Broken

A perfect combination of Amy and Shawn who were a couple at the time of the collaboration.

  • Ann Wilson/Mike Reno- Almost Paradise

From the soundtrack to Footloose, A GREAT 80’s love jam- Which I had to include!

  • Kate Piersen/Iggy Pop- Candy

From Iggy’s 1990 masterpiece “Brick By Brick”- Featuring Kate Person from the B52’s- This tune is so underrated and so cool!

  • Lzzy Hale/Daughtry - Separate Ways

A brand new cover released on the 40th anniversary of the original Journey classic, Lzzy and Chris “hardcored” this version up and man does it ROCK!

  • Kate Bush/Peter Gabriel- Don't Give Up

    From Peter’s 1986 masterpiece “So” – this is such a beauty …….Kate Bush’s voice is so amazing…

  • Lzzy Hale/Shinedown- Breaking Inside

One of my favorite Shinedown songs made even better with Lzzy’s vocals- So emotional.

  • Stevie Nicks/Don Henley- Leather and Lace

I could not have out this list together without including this ballad from tow of classic rock’s most notable vocalists.

On one of my fave records of all time- Stevie’s Bella Donna- it’s simple and perfect.
