The New Trailer For ‘Ready Player One’ Shows Way More Of The Oasis
Not to mention you see way more pop culture references.
King Kong, Overwatch characters, ‘Back To The Future’s’ DeLorean, The Iron Giant, The Joker and Harley Quinn, Chun-Li from Street Fighter, and more make a presence in the newest trailer, and it shows off the IOI, which is a “big corporate entity” who has the control over the internet – AKA the bad guys.
Does this sound strangely like Net Neutrality, anyone?
This movie is coming from Warner Brothers, so it’s not weird that you’re seeing DC things like Batman’s Car, Joker and Harley, and Deathstroke, but when questioning things like, for an example, the DeLorean – the story itself has the DeLorean written into the story, which is not WB’s property, but considering Speilberg’s influence, it probably wasn’t too hard to get it included.
