Students Change Hunger Interview With Debby Scheinholtz of CFBNJ
Last week was Students Change Hunger Radio Week and I got to speak to so many wonderful people. I did a Students Change Hunger Interview With Debby Scheinholtz of CFBNJ. The Community Food Bank of New Jersey has some amazing people that are part of their team and it was great to hear what she had to say. Students Change Hunger runs through January. So although this post is a few days late, it’s still important and timely.
Debby Scheinholtz is the Senior Director of Corporate Relations & Volunteers at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. She spoke to me about the importance of Volunteering at CFBNJ. Take a look at some of the stats below:
Their volunteer program offers individuals, families, and groups of many sizes a meaningful experience to make a direct impact on hunger in a positive and safe environment.
- Last year, volunteers made more than 35,000 site visits, dedicating over 90,000 to the cause (that’s equivalent to 43 full-time employees).
- They can’t do what they do to fight hunger in New Jersey without the help of their volunteers.
- They can’t do what they do to fight hunger in New Jersey without the help of their volunteers.
Volunteers are needed to create Family Packs, pack make meals, sort food, scoop pasta, build senior boxes, and more!
- CFBNJ accepts volunteer groups of all types and sizes: individuals, corporate groups, community groups, school groups, and more.
- Volunteering is a great way to teach children and teens about hunger and the importance of community service.
Of course, we also discussed the awesome Students Change Hunger program where schools compete to see who can raise the most donations. It’s a unique and fun way for our youth to be involved in helping our neighbors in need.
Listen to my chat with Debby Below. She was another sweet, passionate, and dedicated team member from the CFBNJ……and they seem to have so many people who have those traits helping them!
