Pet Friendly- Two words I love! Spending time with our best furry friends is epic, not only for them but for us too. I love doing things with my pup Rosie. Losing two dogs in just under two years taught me how limited our time is with them.
Whether they are older or young, you just never know how much time you have with your dog, and with close to 45% of American Households having at least 1 dog as part of the family, it would make sense to have the business community recognizing that dogs are a part of our daily routines.
There are quite a few great places to head with your pet, for a variety of activities so as we move into the summer months, I decided to put together a list per month with some “pawsome”, highly rated and recommended spots for New Jersey Dog Lovers.
WHAT IS “PET FRIENDLY”?
Pretty simple- “An establishment allowing patrons to bring their pets“.
However, as pet humans, we also need to respect the landscape of rules and behaviors of other patrons, to push the cause forward to allowing more pets in more places! If your dog barks incessantly at other dogs or humans, public places may not be the best outings for your dog and can be stressful for not only your pup, but for you and others as well.
I know the places that Rosie Carr excels in and that’s usually where we head. She can be loud, and I am always aware of that! Basically- “Know The Room” and act accordingly.
So get ready to check out some cool new “Pet Friendly” places for May to check out with your pup. Everywhere from eateries, to breweries, to museums! And please, if you have a pet-friendly establishment that you think I should include, email me at [email protected] and send me your thoughts. (and your photos!)
