102-Year-Old Woman Proves There’s No Excuse Not To Vote
A 102-year-old wasn’t going to let anything stand in her way of voting.
Beatrice Lumpkin of Chicago showed up at a local secure ballot drop box location to mail her ballot earlier this month.
The former teacher was wearing a pink and white, full-service hazmat suit to protect herself from COVID-19. According to CBS News, she hasn’t missed a vote since 1940.
A picture on the Chicago Teachers Union’s Twitter account was captioned “If Bea can do it, anyone can do it. Vote!”
