  • #5. AC/DC - Flick of The Switch

Requested through – Email Request Line – [email protected]
Requested By – Commander of The Southern Division Steve K in Alabama

Commander Steve K has been missing in action for a bit but he is back with Flick of the Switch by AC/DC. “Flick of the Switch” was recorded in a raw and unpolished style, with minimal production and overdubs. The result is a track that feels live and unfiltered, capturing the band’s energy and intensity in a way that few other songs in their catalog do. The song’s opening riff played on a distorted guitar, immediately sets the tone for the track’s raw and gritty atmosphere. The song’s rhythm section, consisting of drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams, provide a steady and driving beat that propels the track forward. Great Job Commander Steve K! Come on back now ya hear! Salute!

Requested through – Facebook Request Line – Scotty B wdha
Requested by The Woodbridge Division Commander John L, Major Jenna L, and Ops Mama Tina L

The Woodbridge Division hit the Top 5 with Black Sabbaths Heaven and Hell to kick off their Heaven and Hell-themed request for this Week. Great theme gang, is very creative. From the 1980 album of the same name Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath features the Late Great Ronnie James Dio on lead vocals. Heaven and Hell are notable for its production, with the song’s mix and arrangement being a departure from Black Sabbath’s earlier albums. The track features a more polished and refined sound, with a focus on melody and dynamics that was not present in the band’s earlier work. The song’s powerful instrumentation, memorable melody, and introspective lyrics make it a standout track in the band’s catalog and a cornerstone of the heavy metal genre as a whole. Great job Gang! keep up the good work. Salute!

Requested by – Commander Doug B in Flushing, NYC

Commander Doug B lands at #1 with his request for A Perfect Circle in celebration for frontman Maynard James Keenan’s Birthday’ (Maynard is also the frontman of Tool) Maynard celebrates his 59th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Dude!! We do not have Judith available in the DHA music vault right now so I went with Talk Talk by A Perfect Circle. Talk Talk is from A Perfect Circles 2018 album “Eat the Elephant” and features Maynard James Keenan on vocals. “TalkTalk” takes a minimalistic approach music-wise with some heavy Tool-sounding guitar riffs and Keenan’s powerful vocals create a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere that draws listeners in and encourages them to reflect on the state of the world around them. Happy Birthday Maynard James Keenan from Commander Doug B in Flushing, NYC, The Nocturnal Brigade, and Me. Great Job Doug B! Salute!
