The song, which was written by Debbie Harry and Nigel Harrison, is a high-energy rock track that captures the essence of New Wave music that dominated the airwaves in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Released in 1981, the song was the title track for the animated film of the same name and quickly became a hit, cementing Hagar’s reputation as one of the most exciting rock vocalists of his time. Heavy Metal begins with a distinctive guitar riff that sets the tone for what’s to come. Hagar’s vocals are forceful and full of attitude as he sings, combined with the driving beat of the drums and bass, creates an intense and electrifying sound that is synonymous with the heavy metal genre.  Great Job Mander! John V lands in the two spot with his request for some Dio. I went with” Stand Up and Shout”. It’s from  their1983 double platinum  debut album, “Holy Diver,” It’s driving drums and heavy riffs  give the track a sense of urgency and energy. The guitar solo, played by Vivian Campbell, is particularly noteworthy, with its lightning-fast licks and technical precision. Bonzo tops the list with his request for “2000 Man” by Kiss. Way to change up Cappy and land at #1! Originally written and recorded by the British rock group The Rolling Stones in 1967, KISS covered the song for their 1979 album “Dynasty,” putting their own unique spin on the classic track. “2000 Man” is a quirky and whimsical song( Like Bonzo) that reflects on the changing times and the disconnection between generations. The guitar solo, played by Ace Frehley, is particularly impressive, with its technical precision and melodic sensibility. “2000 Man”  showcases KISS’s unique sound and style. With its upbeat tempo, catchy melody, and quirky lyrics, the song remains a fan favorite over 40 years after its initial release  making it a true classic of the rock genre. Congratulatins Cappytan!! You’re #1! Salute!
