Major Materd brings up the rear at #5 with his request for the Beastie Boys. Unfortunately “Intergalactic” is not in DHA’s library but” Sabotage” is!  This is a perfect track for the confused Materd anyway. In the vast landscape of music, certain songs manage to break barriers, defy genres, and leave an indelible mark on popular culture. “Sabotage” by the Beastie Boys is one such groundbreaking track. Released in 1994, this explosive fusion of rap and rock became an instant hit, solidifying the Beastie Boys’ status as innovators and redefining the possibilities of genre-blending music. With its infectious energy, rebellious spirit, and timeless appeal, “Sabotage” remains an iconic anthem that continues to captivate listeners worldwide. great Job Maj. Materd! Salute!

#4. Limp Bizkit – Break Stuff                                                                                                                                            Requested Through – Email Request Line – [email protected]                                                                        Requested by – Commander Kyle M in Hillsborough , NJ                                                                                        4

Breakin in at #4 is Commander kyle m with his request for ” Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit. Seems Kyle has a case of the Monday’s! It’s a good case to have when you request this kick ass track. In the late 1990s, a new wave of aggressive and angst-ridden music emerged, blending elements of rock, rap, and metal. At the forefront of this movement was Limp Bizkit, a band that encapsulated the frustration and rebellious spirit of a generation. Among their explosive repertoire, “Break Stuff” became a standout anthem that channeled the collective angst and provided a cathartic release. Released in 1999, the song’s raw energy and unapologetic aggression struck a chord with disenchanted youth, becoming a rallying cry for those seeking an outlet for their pent-up emotions. Great Job Kyle! I hope you didn’t break too much stuff or any of your extremities!  Salute!

Van Halen – Hang Em High                                                                                                                                       Requested Through – Facebook Request Line – Scotty B wdha                                                                                Requested by – The El – Cappytan Bobby Bonzo Rockturnaling and Working in Hasbrouck Heights , NJ      3

The Cap comes in at #3 with his first track for his Van Halen Deepcuts that Rock theme for this week and this deepcut definitely rocks. Van Halen, one of the most influential rock bands of all time, has left an their mark on the music industry with their electrifying guitar riffs, infectious energy, and timeless hits. While their discography boasts numerous chart-topping singles, there are hidden gems that deserve recognition. Among them is “Hang ‘Em High,” a deep cut from their 1982 album, ‘Diver Down.’ “Hang ‘Em High” is a sonic tour de force that unleashes an intense and unyielding energy. Great Job Bonzo! I love this theme you have going this week. Salute!

#2. Foo Fighters – Walk                                                                                                                                                     Requested Through – Facebook Request Line – Scotty B wdha                                                                                Requested by – Mama Ann M aka Commander Ann M in Riverdale , NJ                                                              2                                                                                                                  Mama Ann M takes the two spot with her request for Walk by the Foo Fighters. Since their formation in 1994, the Foo Fighters have cemented their status as one of rock music’s most beloved and enduring bands. Among their extensive discography, the song “Walk” stands out as a powerful anthem that resonates with listeners on multiple levels. Released in 2011, “Walk” combines the band’s trademark melodic hooks with introspective lyrics, creating a musical journey that encapsulates themes of resilience, self-discovery, and overcoming adversity. I am a diehard Foo’s fan and Walk never get’s old to me and it always finds away to reach deep down into my soul and emotions. Great Job Ann! Salute!

#1. Soraia – Baby Boarderline                                                                                                                                           Requested Through – Facebook Request Line – Scotty B wdha                                                                                 Requested by – The Fing Della Baby in Bellville , NJ                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Book em Dano!  The Fing Della Baby aka Sgt. Joe Della Ferra tops the list with his request for Soraia not the Hawaii Five 0 theme. I chose Soraia’s newest stand alone single “Baby Boarderline”. It’s their cover of the Swedish rock band The Hellacopters  song from the year 2000 .  Anders Lindström (“Boba”) Organist and Pianist of the Hellacopters says, “Fantastic! They really do our song justice . I agree Anders! Soraia’s version is slower than the Hellacopters and Soraia”s version is fast with its high energy Punk Garage vibe that Soraia does so very well.  Snag your copy of Soraia’s “Baby Boarderline” and request it in the RRZ . Soraia has been working on a new album I am suspecting a Spring 2024 release but it may be sooner rather than later. Great Job Fing Della! You are #1! Salute!
