Requested by Crazy Colonel Cookie in Pennsylvania

Cookie is back on the list in the #4 spot with her request for the new track from the Foo Fighters called “Rescued”. I am very excited that Cookie is broadening her request for other bands! “Rescued” emerges as a powerful anthem, setting the tone for the band’s new album. Foo Fighters describe it as the first of ten songs that traverse a wide range of emotions, from anger and sorrow to tranquility and acceptance. With this single, the band signals their resilience and determination to continue creating impactful music despite their loss.

I have listened to their new album “But Here We are” and it is the best album they have put out since Wasting Light and Sonic Highways in my opinion. Great Job Cookie! I’m proud of you for stepping out with a new band from your request repertoire. Salute!

Al P takes #3  with his request for some Metallica for his son Nick who turned 17 yrs old today. And of course Puddles Pity Party sang Nick Happy Birthday. I went with Metallica’s new track ” 72 Seasons”. Metallica have once again taken the world by storm with their fourth single, “72 Seasons,” from their highly anticipated eleventh studio album of the same name. Released alongside an electrifying music video, the song showcases Metallica’s unwavering energy and musical prowess. With its thematic depth and captivating instrumentation, “72 Seasons” immerses listeners in a profound journey through the band’s signature heavy sound.

According to Metallica’s frontman, James Hetfield, the lyrics and song title of “72 Seasons” revolve around childhood and its impact on adulthood. The concept centers on the idea that the first 18 years of life encompass 72 seasons, representing the formative experiences that shape one’s growth, maturity, and individual identity. Hetfield explains that the song delves into how people navigate the lasting effects of childhood trauma and highlights the choices they make to move forward and redefine themselves. Happy Birthday Nick P! Great Job Al P! Salute!
